The human figure has always fascinated me, and drawing people has always been one of my favorite past times. The body is often considered the vessels for the soul, however our choices and life experiences also literally alter our shape and impact our bearing. In that way, not only are our bodies vessels for our souls, and not only are they the literal means to tell stories through action, expression and motion, but the body catalogues the changes that occur over time (whether internal or external), inevitably becoming a record of our personal existence. Every body is beautiful in its peculiarity, and I love studying and experimenting with the different ways a body can be expressed.
