In order to stay creative and to continue to expand as an artist, I'm a firm believer in indulging in aggressive curiosity and allowing play, experimentation and exploration be my most important teachers. An exploration might be as basic and small as trying a new line weight or new tool, or might be as drastic as setting up in a whole new location or trying to shift to a new way of thinking. The type of exploration doesn't matter, it's the process of finding the rhythm and flow even with things that may be new and uncomfortable that is so important to growing as a person.
